About me
I have been privileged to live three lives for the price of one.
Born and raised in Lithuania (ex-Soviet Union republic) I went on to study, live and work in Toronto, Canada, and then moved to Jerusalem, Israel.
Reality was not conducive to my aspirations of a meaningful and balanced life, So at the age of 25, I decided that independent immigration to Canada might be the answer. And it surely was in my case. I got married and started building a family of my dreams.
While living in Canada I enhanced both my Psychological and Business training. I got additional training from the Toronto Psychoanalytic Institute and worked as a therapist with trauma survivors. In the following years, my husband and I built our private clinic together. My life was intense. Adjusting to the new country, to the new role of a wife and a mother along with working and growing in many areas was a quest.
Being raised in a secular world, I did not put much meaning into my Jewish identity until coming to Canada. And then everything started to change. Through the labyrinth of unbelievable events, I started exploring what Judaism had to offer. It turned out to be a lot! Within several years our family became fully observant.
As a part of our intense search for meaning we visited, and explored the Land of Israel several times. Until it finally called our name. We have moved our family in 2009. The transition was exciting, painful, surreal, hilarious, and much much more. In Israel, I have fulfilled my long-term dream and got accredited as a Couple and Family Therapist. It took a long 9 years (post Masters) but it was worth it.
At present, I work as a therapist in my private practice in Jerusalem, as a Couple and Family therapist in Machon Shiluv, and volunteer at Yad Ramah - an outreach organization run by my husband (who is by now a neuropsychologist and a renowned Rav).
