ABOUT ME

I have been privileged to live three lives for the price of one.

I was raised in the Soviet Union in the constant motion between two very different republics - Lithuania and Ukraine. Soon after the Soviet Union turned to ashes I started a successful marketing career, working for a number of international companies, and having the opportunity to examine new unexplored territory. I love new and unexplored, so it was wonderful.

No matter how exciting the business world of the newly born post-Soviet Union countries looked, the societal landscape was less so.  I knew that I wanted to have a strong family from the get-go. The Post-Soviet Union landscape did not look like a viable place for such aspirations.

So at the ripe old age of 25, I decided that independent immigration to Canada was the answer. And it surely was in my case. I got married and started building the family of my dreams. In the meantime, I enhanced both my Psychological and Business training. During my “Canadian life” I worked as a therapist with trauma survivors and built a private clinic together with my husband.  My life was intense. Adjusting to the new country, to the new role of a wife and a mother along with working and growing in many areas was a quest.

But it was not all that was going on. I was raised in a totally secular world, and my Jewish identity was not a meaningful part of who I was until I came to Canada. And then everything started to change. Through a labyrinth of serendipitous, unbelievable events I started exploring what Judaism had to offer. It turned out to be a lot! Within several years our family became fully observant.

What does an intensely observant Jew have to strive for? Right. Eretz Israel. We visited, and we explored. Until Eretz Israel called our name. We have moved our family in 2009. The transition was exciting, painful, surreal, hilarious, and much, much more. In Israel, I have fulfilled my long-term dream and got accredited as a Couple and Family Therapist. It took 9 long years (including 2 years of live supervision, working behind the mirror, and practicum in 3 different mental health clinics) but it was all worth it.

At the present time I work as a therapist in private practice in Jerusalem, as a Couple and Family therapist in Machon Shiluv, and as a Rebbetzin at Yad Ramah – an outreach organization run by my husband (who is by now a renowned Rav).

I look forward to the opportunity to help you tap into your deepest potential.
